We are one of those rare couples who doesn’t seem to enjoy the beach.  Or resorts.  Or the kind of tropical vacations that most people dream of.

We’d prefer to dive into a new culture than in an infinity pool any day.

During the three years we lived in Mexico City, we explored many a small colonial town.  Walking the cobbled streets.  Finding the small eateries tucked away.  Sitting on park benches.

We experienced pueblos that many of my Mexican co-workers had not yet made time for.

While we may not exactly blend in to the local surroundings, there’s nothing better than discovering a new place through the lens of a local.  Heaven.
