The first day of spring is a colorful event here in San Miguel.

School children from around the area dress up in costumes representing the season… flowers, bees, rabbits, etc.

They are herded through the Jardin by their teachers and chaperones.

Many of them seemed as dazed by the procession as the crowd was enamored with the spectacle.
